Obedience Trainer Program
4 Weeks - $2995.00
Our Obedience Trainer Program is a 4-week course designed to teach the novice dog trainer how to teach obedience classes and to train dogs in a Board and Train Program. The program will be taught through lecture, video presentation and one on one training with our highly qualified instructors. You will also be required to perform independent study. Areas of instruction will include:
Obedience
Each student is expected to bring 1 dog to work in obedience training. In addition to working their own dogs, students will be allowed to work kennel dogs. You will be taught basic obedience, dog psychology, and how to teach group and private obedience classes. You will be instructed in rules pertaining to AKC obedience as well as Schutzhund obedience. Each student will be required to attend all group obedience classes during their stay. Students will be required to demonstrate basic dog obedience skills with a dog that has not had any prior obedience training. A written and oral exam is also required to complete this portion of the course.
Behavior Problems
Knowing how to solve various types of behavior problems is a must for dog trainers. We will cover many types of behavior problems including the "10 Top Behavior Questions".
Board and Train Programs
Each student will be taught how to train using our Our Board & Train Programs. These programs are designed to train dogs for those individuals whose lifestyle doesn't allow them to personally participate in the day-to-day training of their pet. You will be taught how to train dogs with the Basic Board and Train as well as the Top Dog Program.
Kennel Management
Students will be taught proper feeding techniques, sanitizing and maintaining clean kennels, recognizing parasites, breeding and more. You will also learn various methods of how to start your own business, selling your product, advertising, and customer relations.
Health & First Aid
In this course students will be introduced to basic health care and first aid. Our Veterinarian is available to care for your dog during your stay.
Professional Trainer Program
6 Weeks - $3495.00
(Law Enforcement Detection Dog Program)
Our Professional Trainer Program is a 6 week course designed to give the novice dog trainer an introduction to many different areas of dog training. This is the program you will want to attend if you want to train detection dogs for law enforcement. The program will be taught through lecture, video presentation and training with our highly qualified trainers. You will also be required to perform independent study. Areas of instruction will include:

Specific Odor Detection
Students will be involved in training dogs to detect specific odors, such as narcotics, arson, explosives, and termites. Students will be taught how to select a dog , theory , and training aggressive and passive response dogs. You will be required to pass a scent detection certification with at least 1 odor, which involves finding a specific scent in an undisclosed location. Specific odor detection students will be required to bring a dog solely for the purpose of specific odor detection. Selection of your dog is highly critical, so we suggest that you contact the school for additional information on the selection process. A short video on "How to Select a Candidate for Training" is available to students prior to attending.
Tracking
You will be instructed on how to train a dog for tracking for Police K9 and Search & Rescue. We will teach you how to lay a track, beginning steps for teaching a dog to track, and how tracking differs in urban versus rural areas. Students will be required to successfully complete a track .

10 Weeks - $6495.00
(Law Enforcement Master Trainer Program)
Our Master Trainer Program is a 10 week course designed to give new dog trainer an overview of many different areas of dog training. This is the program you will want to attend if you want to train dogs for law enforcement or want to pursue training for service and hearing dogs. The program will be taught through lecture, video presentation and one on one training with our highly qualified trainers. You will also be required to perform independent study. Areas of instruction will include:
